Bill Hine grew up in a family of charter and commercial fisherman in New England. From the time he was just a young boy he was learning how to fish for Stripers, Blues and Tuna. He grew up fishing both recreationally and commercially in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine. He has also fished both Freshwater and Saltwater areas in many countries around the world. He spent time in New England as a successful Saltwater tournament fisherman in the New England region, and has volunteered for many Fisheries management projects. Bill was educated in Computer Science, and 14 years ago decided to take a position which moved him from New England to Florida. He had spent many winters fishing in Florida as a child, and decided that the sunny state of Florida is where he wanted to call home. After leaving the Computer Science field, Bill was a full time guide specializing in Tarpon, Snook, Permit and Kingfish. He has operated many businesses in Florida, including a Home Inspection business, a Grocery Store and has now purchased Love’s Lures. He is looking forward to not only rebuilding the brand that has been around for so many years, but also has plans to introduce a variety of new products to the market both locally and nationally. On the weekends he can be found running a tackle shop at the Wagon Wheel Flea Market in St. Petersburg, right next to the main office, where there is an impressive inventory of rods, reels, all sorts of tackle, and of course a variety of Love’s Lures. Feel free to stop in to the Wagon Wheel to shop, or just to chat. Bill truly enjoys all types of fishing and loves to spend time helping other people with fishing advice, from the type of equipment and tackle to use, to different techniques used for different types of fish or fishing styles. Whether he is talking to a fishing club, giving instructional seminars, or just helping a random stranger at Wal-Mart by telling them what all they need to gear up for their fishing trip, he loves to share his knowledge and expertise with others, in hopes that they can enjoy the sport as much as he does.
